In the world, the largest lottery trade event is undoubtedly the World Lottery Annual Conference (referred to as WLS). 　　The predecessor of the World Lottery Association

　　The most famous lottery organization in the world should belong to the World Lottery Association (WLA).

　　 However, before introducing it in detail, let us first understand the predecessor of WLA: the International Association of National Lottery Organizations (referred to as AILE) and the International Association of Football and Lotto-type Lottery Organizations (referred to as Intertoto)

　　 The International Association of National Lottery Organizations was established in 1954 and is headquartered in Canada. At that time, Dr. Merz, director of the Swiss National Lottery Association, wrote a letter to Western European countries complaining about the lack of exchanges between organizations and suggested that a meeting involving leaders of national lottery organizations should be held. His suggestion received a positive response.

　　 In 1956, the first Western European National Lottery Organization Conference was held in Zurich, Switzerland. The conference put forward the purpose of the association "cross-border exchange of ideas and experience" and announced the establishment of the International Association of National Lottery Organizations.

　　 International Football and Lotto-type Lottery Organizations Association was established in 1953 and headquartered in Switzerland. It was founded by 18 representatives of European football lottery companies. Most of its members issue sports lottery tickets and lottery tickets.

　　 With the development of the world lottery industry, the roles and functions of the International Association of National Lottery Organizations and the International Football and Lotto-type Lottery Organizations Association tend to be similar, and the members of the two organizations also overlap. After negotiation, in August 1999, the International Association of National Lottery Organizations and the International Association of Football and Lotto-type Lottery Organizations merged into one, forming the World Lottery Association. It is the only most authoritative lottery organization in the world. It is composed of lottery operators and technical equipment suppliers from various countries. The conference is held every two years, and each time generally lasts four days.

　　 Regional member of the World Lottery Association

　　 The World Lottery Association has five regional organizations, namely the Asia-Pacific Lottery Association, the North American State Provincial Lottery Association, the European Lottery Association, the Latin American Lottery Association, and the African Lottery Association.

　　 North American State Provincial Lottery Association (referred to as NASPL)

　　 was established in 1971 and is mainly composed of lottery agencies and companies in various states in the United States and Canada.

　　 In the 2016 fiscal year, there were 20,7053 lottery retailers in the United States under the North American Provincial Lottery Association, with lottery sales of 80.5 billion US dollars, 46.2 billion US dollars in prize money, and 22.574 billion US dollars in public welfare funds. In Canada, there are 29,631 lottery retailers, with lottery sales of 10.36 billion US dollars, 4.852 billion US dollars in prize money, and 3.327 billion US dollars in public welfare funds.

　　European Lottery Association (EL for short)

　　 was formerly the European National Lottery and Football Association. It was established in 1983 and headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland. In 1999, it was renamed the European Lottery Association. There are currently 81 members (including 76 regular members, 3 associate members, and 2 observers) and 39 lottery suppliers.

　　African Lottery Association (ALA)

　　 was established in 1981 and currently has 14 members. In most of the participating countries, the color variety sold is concentrated on horse racing betting and instant ticketing.

The purpose and goal of the association is to unite public, semi-public or private companies to share development; encourage members of the association to assist each other in technology and education; formulate norms and organize seminars; create employment opportunities, participate in education, safety, health, culture and sports In other fields, we are struggling with unemployment and disease.

　　Latin American Lottery Association (referred to as CIBELAE)

　　 was established in October 1988. Its main goals are to promote collaboration and information exchange among members, organize meetings, regulate the behavior of each member, and jointly combat illegal lottery or secret gambling. There are currently 20 ordinary members, 14 associate members, and 7 observers.

　　Asia-Pacific Lottery Association (APLA)

　　 The Asia Pacific Lottery Association was established at the latest. Before the International Association of National Lottery Organizations and the International Association of Football and Lotto-type Lottery Organizations merged into the World Lottery Association, there were already 4 regional associations in Africa, Latin America, Europe, and North America. Guy Simonis, president of the British Columbia Lottery in Canada and chairman of the International Football and Lottery Association of Lottery Organizations, believes that the Asia-Pacific region should be encouraged to develop its own lottery regional associations. Thus, at the first World Lottery Association held in 2000, the Asia-Pacific Lottery Association was formally established.

　　 Currently, the Asia Pacific Lottery Association has 22 lottery agencies in 13 countries and regions in the Asia-Pacific region: Australia, China (including Hong Kong), French Polynesia, India, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
